Equine therapy for those who need it most

At Ampascachi, we are very proud to announce our partnership with Fundación del Azul.

What does this organization do and how does Ampascachi help?

Founded in 2005, Fundación del Azul specializes in equine-assisted therapy and offers treatment to people with psychomotor issues, ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Genetic Syndromes and many other mental health problems.

The foundation's team sees and treats about 100 patients a week. However, treatment is expensive and many people who are struggling financially cannot afford it.

Today, there are scholarships for those families who need it the most, but there is still much to be done.

Ampascachi has reached an agreement to donate 3% of sales to the foundation.

This means that every time you book a horse riding holiday with us, a part of that money will go directly to support our mission to provide equine-assisted treatment to low-income families.

By no means will this affect the price you pay for the ride and it does not imply any additional costs for guests. The donation comes entirely from our profits.

Why is this organization so special?

Although we have known the mission carried out by Fundación del Azul for years, some special cases, like Ramón's, never cease to amaze us.

Being in contact with horses has been shown to be beneficial for different areas of development, including physical, intellectual/cognitive, emotional, social, and language growth.

As horse enthusiasts, we know that everyone has a reaction to horses; nobody is indifferent. Equine therapy goes one step further in the human-horse relationship and turns it into a therapy to help improve health.

Like equestrian tourism, equine therapy is an activity that will guarantee the survival of these fascinating animals.

We are also happy to know that all the foundation’s activities are based on scientific evidence. Besides, their professional team includes specialists in health, education and horsemanship
