Our equestrian centres are the cornerstone of our logistics, the places where we develop our main activities, and where our horses receive the best possible care.
We have two equestran centres, fully equipped and designed to meet the needs of each traveler´s requirements. These centres represent the core of the project due to their relevant role in both the logistics and horse riding tourism.
Ampascachi Equestrian Centres:
The traditional Estancia Haras Ampascachihas a park of more than 8 hectares surrounding its country house and more than 500 hectares intended for horse breeding. It is located near a small town in Córdoba called Nono, nestled in the stunning beauty setting of the Valle de Traslasierra.
At only two and a half hours from Córdoba International Airport, the traveler will stay in an old colonial building of Jesuit roots dating back to the early XIX century. The estancia has been carefully adapted to welcome guests, respecting and preserving materials as well as the architectural style of the time.
Embedded in a green surrounding and at the foot of the Sierras Grandes in Córdoba, the estancia breathes authenticity through its thick walls and high ceilings. Haras Ampascachi has nine rooms and two apartments with central heating and private bathroom. Haras Ampascachi has a total number of 33 vacancies.
The facilities include golf grounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts and soccer fields, ideal for outdoor activities.
An in-house chef and a regional gourmet menu of 28 dishes complete the estancia colonial cuisine which serves barbecued meals, charcoal-grilled meals, meals roasted over an open fire, “disco (circular metal pan)” meals or meals cooked in a clay oven or in a gas oven. Each recipe of the menu is carefully prepared. The chef offers visitors the chance to learn how to prepare typical and sweet dishes of our country and get to know ancestral secrets.
Haras Ampascachi, at the time it maintains colonial times details also invites the tourist to experiment the natural charm of the place, direct contact with ancestors and their land as well as to delight in the tastes and tradition of the sierras. Here, you will be able to enjoy a small place in the world where the history, tradition, comfort and exclusiveness converge to create a unique atmosphere.
La Casa de la Tradición is located in the town of Chicoana in the province of Salta, 45 minutes from the capital city.
La Casa, is an old colonial construction from the XIX century which operates as the headquarters of the “Coronel Luis Burela” Gaucho Squad.
The premises, which is surrounded by the hills around the Valle de Lerma, offers important tracks for equestrian practices and has various farmyards for confining animals which are used in some events organised by the Gaucho Squad, such as: the Rodeos, or the Tamal National Festivity, which is a well-known folkloric festivity of gaucho tradition.
Lieutenant Luis Burela, whose name identifies the Gaucho Squad, was a hero in the War of Independence and he was born in Chicoana in the year 1775. He was the leader of the famous guerilla in Salta, which was later led by the General Don Martin Miguel de Güemes against the Spanish realist army the first Sunday in January 1814. All happened after mass when the community of Chicoana gathered to analyse their chances of fighting against the powerful Spanish army.
In that gathering, Luis Burela was asked by the local dwellers about the weapons they would use to fight and he answered: “We will fight with the weapons we will take away from them”. This is the spirit of bravery and of service to the cause which still inspires the Luis Burela de Chicoana Gaucho Squad.
In the premises of La Casa de la Tradición and headquarters of the gaucho squad is located ourEquestrian Centre. There we look after and train the horses we offer in all the riding holidays in the north of Argentina.
For these Ampascachi riding holidays, which are offered in the north of Argentina, this centre is anstrategic place for the practice of horseback tourism due to its location, the premises, and the places which are perfect for equestrian practices and as a receiving point to welcome the guests who would choose and try the horses before starting the equestrian routes.
