The Great Migration

The Serengeti plain is where the annual wildebeest migration takes place, a touching natural event for all its spectators.

Although it’s not an exact science, the Great Migration is a repeating cycle that takes place every year and it depends on external conditions such as the rainy season.

The herbivore migration from the ecosystem of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenia is one of the most incredible ecological events in our planet. Every year around 1.5 million animals, especially wildebeest, zebra and several antelope species, migrate seasonally across Kenia and Tanzania in search of new pastures.
