Geography
Located in the northern part of the North American subcontinent, it is the northernmost country. It stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west; to the north lies the Arctic Ocean. It shares land borders with the United States to the south, and the US state of Alaska to the northwest.
It covers almost one half of the North American territory. Its national territory is organized in 10 provinces and 3 territories.
Canada has an extensive coastline, to the east, north and west, and since the last glacial period, it has consisted ofstro 8 distinct forest regions, including extensive Boral forest on the Canadian Shield.
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is one of the world´s widest waterfalls, and it provides hydraulic energy.
The immensity and variety of its geography, vegetation and topography originated a wide range of climate types all over the country. Due also to its great extension, Canada has more lakes than any other country, containing much of the world´s fresh water.
There are also fresh-water glaciers in the Canadian Rockies and the Coast Mountains.
Flora and fauna
Due to its great extension, this country has a varied topography and significant climatic differences, which originates diverse flora and fauna. A large area of the Canadian territory is covered by timber-yielding trees, among which we can mention pine, cedar and maple. There are also territories with extensive meadows.
Its wildlife is very similar to that of Northern Europe and Asia, therefore we can see bears, wolves, coyotes, cougars, among many other carnivorous animals.
In the Arctic regions, its fauna is typical of the tundra with different types of seals, whales and polar bears, while the flora includes mainly moss and lichen. In some regions, there are beavers, porcupines, moles and many different rodents. Some parts of Canada are also home to antelopes, reindeer and moose.

Yukón
A place where you will have the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the Yukon River (“Great River”, in the original language) on horseback.
Yukon, the last Canadian frontier before Alaska, is a true experience of natural beauty: glacial valleys, crystal clear rivers and lakes, alpine prairies, forests and tundra.
Over 10,000 year ago, this was the first Canadian territory to be colonized by the ancient people who crossed the Bering Strait from Siberia over a land bridge.
Today it is possible to travel around Yukon on horseback, as the pioneers did. In this expedition, you will follow the paths of wild animals such as moose, caribou and wolves, and the steps of the last Yukon hunters.
The vast territory of Yukon has plenty of thawed lakes and snow-covered mountains and even today, when the world seems to be so small, reaching this place is part of the adventure. Following the ways paved by wild animals, throughout thousands of years, where you can still discern the traces of trappers and gold diggers.
This is an epic journey for the adventurous ones. And to embark on it through equestrian routes and programs is a way to relive what the first inhabitants of this land lived.
