Why explore Argentina on horseback?
Horseback riding is the best way to discover the magic of Argentina – a country that has it all.
- A unique kaleidoscope of ancient cultures
- A vast, natural wealth thanks to its great extension
- An age-old equestrian tradition that is very much alive
You will have the feeling of seeing several countries in only one.
From big and cosmopolitan cities like Buenos Aires to quaint villages where precolonial customs are still preserved. From lush valleys full of life to desert landscapes whose beauty will leave you breathless.
We invite you to discover Argentina on the back of our beloved Peruvian horses. Cross rivers and mountains, learn about gaucho traditions and feel the power of nature.
Flexible trip itineraries booked directly with us and with the guarantee of Ampascachi’s logistics.
CULTURE
Despite being fairly young, Argentina is a culturally rich nation. Argentine music, literature and art in general are world renowned.
We could say that tangois the hallmark of Argentina. This sexy, romantic and passionate genre was born in the streets of Buenos Aires. With its sensual dances and songs about love and human relations, tango portrays our true Argentine character.
Another icon of our culture and tradition is the gaucho. Wearing a poncho and tough boots, the gaucho rides his horse and drinks mate, his two inseparable friends in those long working days in the pampas or in Patagonia.
The ethnic and cultural diversity of our country is reflected in our culinary traditions and in the way we speak, because we take words from other languages to make them our own.
Another cultural trait we inherited from the gaucho is our fondness for equestrian sports such as Polo or “Pato” – Argentina’s national equestrian sport.
Both are played on horseback and there are some similarities between them, such as the dimensions of the field, teams made up of 4 riders and a game divided into short periods of great intensity.
CLIMATE
The climate in Argentina varies considerably given its vast and spectacular territory. In the north and centre of the country, the climate is mainly warm and temperate, while in the south, it is colder and arid.
THE HIGHLIGHTS OF ARGENTINA
- Its wonderful landscapes full of contrasts, from the greenest forests to the most arid deserts.
- Its excellent cuisine, with delicious dishes such as the Argentine barbecue, empanadas cooked in a clay oven and homemade stews.
- Its cultural legacy, which is unique in the world and where tango, gauchos and equestrian tradition are the main protagonists.
